Among vintage timepieces, there exist models created not so much to count time as to accentuate the elegance of the female wrist. The Tissot specimen presented here is precisely such a rarity, balancing on the edge between precise Swiss mechanics and jewelry art. It is an embodiment of the design's "golden era," when a watch was the centerpiece of an evening ensemble.
The highlight of the design is the case architecture. This is not the standard round "classic," but a complex design work with an emphasis on Fancy Lugs. They possess a curved, sculptural shape reminiscent of petals or elements of an antique column. Such an attachment visually elongates the case and makes it unique. For collectors, this case geometry holds great value, as it is encountered far less frequently than typical forms.
The case is covered with a layer of genuine gold plating (20 microns Gold Plated). The characteristic warm metal tone testifies to the use of hot-rolled technology, which ensured a deep luster identical to solid gold.
The champagne-colored dial features a satin "Sunburst" texture that shimmers softly in the light. Laconic gold baton indices and hands create a clean, minimalist image without cluttering the composition. The Tissot logo is executed in the classic font characteristic of the pre-quartz era.
The true treasure is hidden inside. The watch runs on the in-house Tissot Caliber 712 in a rare execution. The balance assembly is equipped with the premium KIF Flector shock protection system. It is easily recognized by its unique "flower-shaped" retaining spring. The presence of the Flector system instead of the standard Incabloc is direct evidence of a higher class of movement finishing (High Grade), as this very system was chosen for their top calibers by such giants as Rolex and Jaeger-LeCoultre.
Completing the authentic look is a rare vintage strap from the renowned Austrian brand HERU (Made in Austria). This is not a modern replacement, but a high-quality leather accessory preserved in excellent condition. The soft leather and noble texture perfectly complement the golden shine of the case.

BRAND HISTORY
BRAND HISTORY
The history of Tissot is not merely a dry chronicle of dates, but a captivating saga of how a small family workshop from the snow-capped Jura mountains transformed into a global giant, forever changing the perception of accessible luxury. The brand's motto, "Innovators by Tradition," is no marketing ploy; it is the genuine DNA of the company, traceable through the centuries.
It all began in 1853 in the town of Le Locle, considered the very heart of Swiss watchmaking. Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Émile founded a small atelier. While other local artisans competed for the favor of the local bourgeoisie, the Tissot family thought globally. Charles-Émile personally embarked on extensive journeys, covering thousands of kilometers to open the most remote corners of Europe and the world to the brand. His efforts brought resounding success: Tissot watches became an integral attribute of the European aristocracy and the officer corps of many armies of that time. Military personnel and travelers chose them for exceptional precision, entrusting the Swiss masters with their most valuable asset in critical moments—their time.
For vintage collectors, the most pivotal moment in history occurred in 1930. During the difficult times of the Great Depression, Tissot merged with another giant—Omega—to form the powerful watchmaking holding SSIH. This initiated a true "Golden Age" of mechanics. The brands shared technologies, engineers, and production facilities. This is why vintage Tissot movements from the 1940s to the 1970s are virtually identical to legendary Omega calibers in terms of execution quality, architecture, and reliability.
The company always remained at the forefront of scientific progress. It was Tissot that solved the major technical problem of precision in 1930 by releasing the world's first mass-produced anti-magnetic watch. Later, in 1951, the legendary Navigator appeared, capable of displaying time in 24 time zones, and in the 70s, the brand began bold experiments with materials and design, gifting the world with striking futuristic forms.
The uniqueness of Tissot's philosophy lay in the ability to create timepieces that looked like precious jewelry yet remained accessible to the middle class. They bet on exquisite design, high-quality gold plating, and fail-safe calibers. Today, a vintage Tissot is the choice of the intellectual who values items with history. It is an accessory that stood at the origins of the modern industry, combining the aristocracy of the past with benchmark Swiss quality.
