A true find for connoisseurs of refined classics, this timepiece exemplifies the definition of mid-century luxury.

The Buren brand is a legendary name in the horological world - famed as the pioneers of the micro-rotor and later becoming part of Hamilton - ensuring this accessory holds both aesthetic and significant collector value.

The "Silver Linen" dial is the centerpiece of the watch. It features an incredible vertical satin texture that mimics the structure of expensive linen or silk. The dial catches the light at various angles, creating a sense of volume and depth. Minimalist silver and gold markers paired with slender hands emphasize its status without overcrowding the design.

Housed within the case is not a mass-market movement, but a signature in-house Buren caliber. This reliable 17-jewel manual-wind construction is equipped with the Incabloc shock protection system, ensuring stable performance. The movement is in visually pristine condition and features the rose-gold plating characteristic of high-end vintage calibers. This finish provides both aesthetic perfection and a practical barrier against corrosion.

Special attention should be paid to the exotic leather strap, which is crafted from Genuine Lizard. This strap, from the reputable brand Jacques Lemans, features the distinct fine scale pattern that adds visual value and a unique charm to the watch. In addition to its sophisticated texture, the strap offers a practical advantage with its "Water Resistant" marking on the lining.

The condition is close to NOS (New Old Stock), essentially a new specimen from old archives. The case retains its perfect factory geometry, and the gold plating continues to shine brilliantly. Only minimal signs of age and storage are present - authenticating a vintage piece that is over 50 years old - while the stainless steel caseback features crisp engravings and the model number.

This model is perfectly suited for a delicate woman's wrist, making it an excellent choice for a lady who prefers unique items with a history over modern mass-produced accessories.

BRAND HISTORY

The history of the Buren brand is a captivating story of Swiss innovation, today known primarily to seasoned collectors.

Founded in the late 19th century in the town of Buren an der Aare, the company was far more than a mere assembly shop - it was a full-scale manufacture that independently designed and produced its own calibers.

World fame arrived with their development of the revolutionary micro-rotor for automatic movements, a technology that many giants of the watch industry later sought to replicate. Buren’s engineering potential was so significant that in 1966, the American giant Hamilton acquired the company specifically to gain access to their cutting-edge movements.

Today, watches are no longer produced under this name in their historical form. As a result, every preserved vintage specimen stands as a witness to the golden era of mechanics and a carrier of a unique technical heritage that will never be repeated.
