The ANKRA 66 is an exceptionally rare vintage timepiece, preserved in phenomenal New Old Stock (NOS) condition. Featuring a distinct second variation of the dial within this series, it represents a highly coveted find for serious collectors.
The case, finished in elegant gold plating, features a sophisticated cushion shape, while the deep black dial, adorned with gold hands and indices, exudes an aesthetic of understated luxury.
The highlight of this piece is its exquisite horizontal striped guilloché pattern, which adds unmatched depth and dynamism. This rare texture, characteristic of special editions, plays masterfully with the light, elevating the watch into a genuine collectible artifact with a distinct character.
Inside beats a reliable German manual-winding movement with 17 jewels and a date function. Precision is driven by the highly regarded DuRoWE 7422/2 caliber. DuRoWE (Deutsche Uhren-Rohwerke) stands as a symbol of German engineering excellence, ensuring durable and reliable performance.
The ANKRA 66 is more than just an accessory; it is a rare artifact combining engineering quality with impeccable classic design. This offers a unique opportunity for collectors to own a piece of untouched history and invest in an exceptional vintage masterpiece.

BRAND HISTORY
BRAND HISTORY
The ANKRA brand holds a distinguished place in the pantheon of classic German watchmaking. Its origins trace back to 1925 in Leipzig, the heart of Saxon craftsmanship, with the founding of the Ankra Einkaufs- und Garantiering deutscher Uhrmacher (Purchase and Guarantee Association of German Watchmakers).
This cooperative was conceived as a bastion of quality: ambitious independent watchmakers united with a singular goal, to establish a brand synonymous with uncompromising reliability and precision. By enforcing rigorous standards for calibers and assembly, ANKRA timepieces quickly garnered widespread respect.
Following a hiatus imposed by World War II, the brand was decisively revived in West Germany in the early 1950s. This resurgence became an integral part of the Wirtschaftswunder (the German Economic Miracle). ANKRA timepieces emerged as the tangible embodiment of a new, prosperous German society: understated, technically sophisticated, and elegant.
